Yesterday was the Spindle Spinning and Spinning as Meditation Workshop with Laura Mead.
Laura supplied her class with lovely spindles, yummy fibers and an in depth slide show of the history, techniques and zen of spinning.
Everyone seemed to learn quickly with Laura's excellent explanations.
Congratulations to a whole new group of handspinners that have discovered the joy of spinning! Yay!
You have the oppoortunity to join some workshop fun next weekend! We have two half-day workshops offered on Nov. 20th - Knitting Thrummed Slippers and Spinning Self-Striping Yarns. Come be a part of our fibery fun community!
Jennifer I would have loved to have come to this class, but I know it was pretty full. If she ever does this again, I would love to attend. Thanks for sharing pictures.
I had a great time at Nikol's classes Saturday. What a total blast! And I'm glad you post photos here too because I'm not on Facebook.

I'll NEVER learn to spin, it's all I can do to knit one, purl one. Missed you last week when I came to see son, Britt, at Poppyfield Gallery. Never really got going on the socks, still stuck on ankle-warmers and shawls. If I ever get to Wamego again, I want to look at Kansas-produced yarns.
